Franklin Wah Leong Ho's Obituary
Celebrating the Life of Franklin Wah Leong Ho, age 70, of Kailua, Hawaii, passed away Sunday, December 1, 2013. Franklin was born on December 3, 1942 in Honolulu, Hawaii to Walter Yuen Choy Ho, Sr. and Elsie Leimomi Chang. He was the oldest of seven children. He attended Kailua High School where he earned his High School Diploma. After graduation he began a career at Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard as a Pipe Fitter as well as a Police Reserve Officer for the Honolulu Police Department. He retired in October 2006 after serving 42 years of service. He married Mary Ann Haumea Baker on May 4th in Las Vegas. He was a member of St. John Vianney Catholic Church. Some organizations he was involved in were SHOPO, PHNSY Fed. Manager’s Assoc., and Reserve Police President for four years. His most important events in his life were his marriage to Mary Ann, having his children, and serving as a HPD officer. His favorite past time activities were playing golf, photography, playing poker and traveling. He was a very organized, committed, “the King of the house” and a loving father. He loved listening to Hawaiian music. Franklin is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Ho; sons, Franklin (Danielle) Ho, Jr. and Matthew Ho; daughters, Michelle (Joe) Ho-Cabasa, Haukea (Hoku) Ho, Holly (Hawaiian) Kiyabu and Wendy (Steffen Sr.) Salvador; brothers, Walter (Rosie) Ho, Jr., Byron (Mercy) Ho Sr. and Steven (Diane) Ho; sister, Shelley Ho; 10 grandchildren.
His services will be held on Saturday, January 11, 2014 at Hawaiian Memorial Park Mortuary. Visitation will be from 9:00-11:30 a.m., service at 11:30 a.m., with burial to follow 1:00 p.m. at Valley of the Temples Memorial Park.
