Genevieve Sutter's Obituary
Genevieve “Daisy” Sutter, of Honolulu, passed away on Thursday, November 10th after a brief battle of lung cancer. She was 87 years old. She was surrounded by her loved ones at the time she passed.
Daisy was born on October 12, 1935 in Papeete, Tahiti, and moved to Hawaii in 1960. She was a talented seamstress and sewed bikinis and costumes for the Hawaiian Hut and many other well-known clients. Daisy was passionate about golfing Tuesdays in Hawaii Kai, but Thursdays were her all-time favorite days, playing with her club, the Happy Hookers. Daisy was a lucky person, hitting Keno and slot machines in Las Vegas. She also had three hole-in-ones at Hawaii Kai, Navy Marine, and Barber’s Point.
Daisy was predeceased by her parents, Agnes and Choy Ming Chong, her brothers John and Asam Chong, sister, Akiau. She is survived by her 3 sisters and one brother. She is also survived by her children, Arthur and Mia, and her step-daughter, Heidi Miyahira. Finally she is survived by the little love of her life, grandson, Aiden.
There will be a private ceremony early in 2023.
