George Cabael Cacatian Jr.'s Obituary
George Cabael Cacatian, Jr., 75, of Honolulu, Hawaii, passed away at his residence on April 21, 2017. He was born on July 22, 1941 in Narvacan, Ilocos Sur, Philippines to parents Gregorio Cabebe Cacatian and Mamerta DeGuzman Cabael Cacatian. He retired after a 35-year career as a drywall carpenter for the local Carpenter's Union in Hawaii, and was also a former salmon fisherman in Alaska and a pineapple field worker on Molokai. He was a member of the Saranay Club. George was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Brigida Casio.
He is survived by beloved wife, Evelyn Logalog Cacatian; son , Geoffrey (Marnita) Cacatian; daughters, Genelyn (Roy) Tampon and Gaylani (Jojo) Respicio; sister, Imelda (Carlos) Padilla; brother-in-law, Librado Casio; grandchildren, Ryan, Renee and Russell Tampon and Greyson and Rachel Respicio.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 19, 2017, at Diamond Head Mortuary (535 18th Avenue, Honolulu, Hawaii). Visitation will be from 5:30 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. with wake service beginning at 6:30 p.m.
A second service will again be held at Diamond Head Mortuary on Saturday, May 20, 2017, with a visitation from 8:30 a.m.-9:30 a.m. Service will be at 9:30 a.m. with burial to follow at 12:00 p.m. at Valley of the Temples Memorial Park.
