Reid, Stacia, Sally and Roy, please accept my condolences on the passing of your mom and sister.
Geri and I met over 10 years ago at Newtown Meadows because of Zacky, her chihuahua and my chihuahua, Sammy. The 2 puppies would not move until they both had their fill of chasing each other around and playing. Zacky used to cuddle in my arms for hours while Sammy did not want to be carried.
Every day, in the afternoon, Zacky and Geri would stop at my front porch to "talk story" for several years.
At the time, Kenneth Ige, my late husband, and Geri would compare notes because they had both contracted cancer a year before.
Unfortunately, Kenneth passed away in 2006. At this time, Geri contacted her friends and prayer warriors to pray for Kenneth and me. Geri introduced me to the First Assembly of God at Makakilo and then at Red Hill.
After Kenneth's passing and my move from Newtown Meadows, Geri and I kept in touch throughout my several moves.
When she herself was hurting in the worst way, she always said a prayer for me. She had tremendous courage and faith. Not once did she falter her beliefs.
When Zacky died, we both cried together for months. He was our baby!!
I miss her dearly....Geri was an exceptionally kind and generous person.
I will not ever forget her!
Reid, your mom was so proud of you. She always told me so!
God Bless,
Jolly Ige and Sammy
