Gladys Manulani Valdez's Obituary
Gladys Manulani Valdez, 89, of Honolulu, Hawaii, passed away on Monday, July 27, 2015. She was the third of seven born children to George Komoku Paihinui and Elizabeth Manuia in Lahaina, Maui on February 23, 1926. She was a homemaker.
Gladys attended Lahaina Elementary School and when she was an adult she moved Oahu and lived primarily in the Honolulu district. She was married to her late husband Ricardo Valdez. She attended church at Our Lady of Peace in Honolulu.
She enjoyed attending concerts, movies, spending time with family and friends, listening to old school Hawaiian music. She was a humorous, humble, loving, and a woman with a whole lot of ALOHA who always tried to maintain a good quality of life. She was loved by everyone who came into her life.
She is survived by sons, Richard (Kil), Don (Maka), Glenn, and Arick (Brenda) Valdez; sister, Geraldine Hubbard; Seven grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren
Visitation: 9:30 – 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, August 25, 2015 at Hawaiian Memorial Park Mortuary; service to begin at 10:30 a.m., with burial 1:00 p.m., at Hawaiian Memorial Park Cemetery.
