Gloria Cabanilla Caberto's Obituary
Gloria Cabanilla Caberto, 84, of Honolulu, Hawaii, passed away on August 3, 2014. She was born in Sucoc, Narvacan, Ilocos Sur, Philippines to Mariano Caberto and Gorgonia Cabanilla.She retired from St. Francis Medical Center West as an Environmental Services employee and as a housekeeper at Hale Koa Hotel.
She is survived by daughters, Helen V. Soriano and Josephine C. Velasco-Medeiros (Mel Medeiros); son, Vicente C. (Luzviminda) Velasco; sister Alejandra C. (Pio) Cabico; seven grandchildren, Gilbert V. Soriano, Glenn V. (Emily) Soriano, ryan (Devon) Queja, Vincent (Analisa) Go, Jeffrey Go, Joey (Mary) Go, and John Velasco; 16 great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
Visitation to her evening wake service will be held from 5:30-9:00 p.m. at Diamond Head Mortuary on September 5, 2014 with prayer services to begin at 6:30 p.m. Additional visitation for her funeral service will be held from 9:00-9:45 a.m. on Saturday, September 6, 2014 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church (2324 Omilo Lane Honolulu, HI 96819) with Mass to begin at 10:00 a.m. and burial service to be held at 1:00 p.m. at Valley of the Temples Memorial Park in Kaneohe, Hawaii.
