Gloria Batuga Datulayta's Obituary
Gloria Datulayta, 62, of Honolulu, HI, has peacefully passed away on Thursday, December 17, 2020 at her home in Honolulu, HI after a short battle with stomach cancer. She is survived by her husband, Manuel Datulayta; 6 daughters, Glomalou, Mary Joy, Genevieve,
Maria Teresa, April Rose, and Lanimie; and her mother, Aurelia Tayudan.
She is also survived by her grand kids; Ella, Ethan, Alexandra, Kyle, Christian, Darren, Belle, Erin, Gwen, Aolani, Luna, Paul Jr., and Iokepa along with her 3 sisters and 4 brothers. She has joined her grandchild, Sam in heaven. She was born in Malalag and raised in Malita. She moved to Honolulu with her husband and daughters in 1993 from Digos City, Philippines.
She loved to keep herself busy by tending to her garden. She was especially fond of roses and orchids. She also loved sewing things for the house using her favorite floral patterns and even sewed masks during the pandemic. Gloria enjoyed cooking for her family and her favorite food to cook was pansit and dinuguan. She was a talker and enjoyed the company
of family and close friends. She was an exceptional employee and constantly went above and beyond the scopes of her duty.
She will be laid to rest on Monday, January 11, 2021 at Valley of the Temple Chapel with a drive-through service from 11:45am to 12:45pm. A private church service will be held at the Lady of the Mount Catholic Church in Kalihi on January 13, 2021.
