Gregorio Luis Mones' Obituary
Gregorio Mones, 95, of Oahu peacefully passed away at sunrise on October 29. Originally from Paniqui Tarlac, Philippines, “Eriong” fought in World War II in the United States Army surviving the 65-mile Bataan Death March and as a Prisoner of War in the Philippines.
Gregorio retired from Hickam Air Force Base proudly serving as an aircraft mechanic and technical metal engineer for 34 years.
Gregorio is preceded in death by his two young sons, Angel and William.
Gregorio is survived by his wife, Valentina; daughters, Cresencia (Benjamin), Evangeline (Lincoln), Thelma (Ronald); son, George (Kay) Mones; 10 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 2324 Omilo Lane, Honolulu, Hawaii 96819 on Monday, December 5, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. Burial to follow 1:00 p.m. at the Hawaii State Veterans Cemetery Committal Shelter.
