LtCol Hanako "Hana" Higa, 90, of Honolulu, passed away December 22, 2015. She was born December 6, 1925 in Hilo, Hawaii to parents Michael Ushi Higa and Kamato Higa, and was a retired United States Army Lieutenant Colonel with over 24 years of service, and served in Korea and Vietnam. She is survived by sisters, Jitsuko "Judy" Rocheford and Helen Hideko Keller.
