Celebrating the Life of Helen Kahoa Cobb-Adams, 68, of Hilo passed away on October 18,2018 at Castle Medical Center. Helen was born on October 18, 1949 in Hilo, Hawaii to Veto Baker and Mary Jane Napalapalai. She was the 2nd child of 7 children. Helen attended Hilo High School and after graduation she became a homemaker. Helen is survived by her husband Gus K. Cobb-Adams Sr., her sons; Gusty K. Cobb-Adams (Corinne), James "Jimmy" K. Cobb-Adams (Jing), her daughter; Precious-Misty K. Espinda (Derrick), brothers; Veto H. Baker (Mai), Arthur Kawai Baker (Deceased), Rudy L. Tripp Jr (Angie), Woody "Kalei" Tripp (Sandy), Moody Mililani Tripp (Kathy) (Deceased), sister; Trudy Peaches Tripp, her grandchildren; Kree K. Espinda, Cheyenne K. Espinda, Iwi Cobb-Adams, Iki Cobb-Adams, Kapu Cobb-Adams, Hoku Cobb-Adams, and Maile Cobb-Adams and countless nephews, nieces, grandnephews, grandnieces, great grandnephews and great-grandnieces. She was involved in spending time with family and friends and collecting antiquities. Helen resided in Kailua with her husband Gus Cobb-Adams Sr. who she married on October 11, 1997 in Kailua. She is She was a member of St. Anthony's and Ka Makua Mau Loa Church. You would hear her say, "You snooze, you lose!" Her most important events in her life were meeting and spending time with all her grandchildren. Helen was known as "Strong, Independent, and Loving." Her favorite things to do were drinking, eating, collecting antiquities and spending time with family and friends. She loved to listen to Hawaiian and oldies music. Family is having a Memorial Service for Helen on Saturday, October 27, 2018 at 4 p.m. at home 419 Iliaina St. Kailua, Hawaii 96734. Family will be scattering her ashes on a later date.
