Helen Yukiko Ginoza's Obituary
Helen Yukiko Ginoza passed away at home on March 1, 2023. She was the 6th child of Seizen and Tsuru Taba, born on December 6, 1935. She was a graduate of Farrington High School and an AAFES retiree Helen enjoyed traveling with her husband Ed. Together they toured, Japan, Okinawa, Hokkaido, South East Asia, South America, Canada/West Coast Rockies, Nova Scotia/East Coast, Europe, Tahiti, Alaska, with Las Vegas being their favorite destination.
She was a pitcher with the Hui Makaala Girls Softball, bowled in several leagues, and took up golf after retiring. She looked forward to meeting up with family, and friends at Honolulu Christian, Kahala Mall, Zippy’s, AAFES retirees and tanomoshi club.
A proud Okinawan, she was an active member of the Nago and Urasoe Clubs.
Helen is survived by her husband Edward of 67 years, son Dean, 2 daughters Terri Yoshinaga, and Kathy (Randal) Arakaki, 4 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her daughter Edie (Lahaina) Simerson.
