In the soft embrace of memories, we celebrate the life of Helen Carol Melemai, a woman of profound kindness and gentle compassion. Born in Ohio on August 31st, 1941, Helen's life was a tapestry woven with humility, support, and unwavering love.
Helen was a pillar of strength and warmth to her family. Her generous spirit touched the hearts of many, leaving an indelible mark through her kind gestures and compassionate nature. She nurtured her children with love and guidance, instilling in them the values of humility and care for others.
She is lovingly remembered by her children: Besilluan "Mokihana" Komoda (Wes), Bernard Melemai, Jr. (Faye), Francis "Boy" Keliiholokai, Gladys "Leimomi" Ernestburg (McKay), Deangelo Melemai, and Denver Keliiholokai (Kellie), Liza Starlene Melemai. Helen's heart also cherishes the memories of her husband and children who have gone before her: Bernard Melemai, Abigail Keliiholokai, Damien Melemai. Her caring nature extended to her sister, June Suddreth, with whom she shared a deep and loving bond.
Helen's life was a testament to the impact of quiet strength and the power of gentle acts. Though she is no longer with us, the echoes of her compassion continue to inspire all who knew her.
Services to honor Helen's life will be held on March 14th, 2025 at the Valley of the Temples Mortuary. Visitation will begin at 10 am, followed by a service at 1030 am. Burial will take place at 1 pm at the Valley of the Temples Memorial Park.
