Helen Sardinha Santos' Obituary
Helen Sardinha Santos, 94, of Honolulu, Hawaii passed away on July 27, 2016 at her residence. She was the oldest of 10 children born to Manuel Sardinha, Jr. and Constance Jardin in Wailuku, Maui on March 27, 1922. Helen resided in Wailuku until 1942.
Helen was a homemaker and was married to Gilbert Santos and they resided in Honolulu.
She was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church and Punchbowl Holy Ghost Catholic Church.
Important events in Helen’s life were the birth of her daughters and living a long and full life. She enjoyed cooking and watching sports.
Helen will forever be remembered as a kind, selfless, devoted, spiritual and hardworking woman who will be missed by her family and friends.
Helen is survived by her daughter, Theresa Santos; brother, John Sardinha, of Kahului, Maui; sister, Emelia Bush of Washington; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Service for Mrs. Santos will be held on Monday, August 8, 2016 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church (located at, 2124 Pauoa Road Honolulu, Hawaii 96813); visitation: 9:00 – 10:00 a.m.; Mass: 10:00; burial to follow 12:00 p.m. at Valley of the Temples Memorial Park.
