Henry Masao Kiyota's Obituary
Henry Masao Kiyota, a resident of Honolulu, Hawaii passed away on Monday, May 23, 2016 at the Straub Hospital and Medical Center at the age of 83. He was the fourth of five children born to Suematsu Kiyota and Oai Taketa in Honolulu, Hawaii on April 6, 1933. He was a retired automotive mechanic, brake specialist with Sears Automotive and a United States Army Veteran.
He attended and graduated from Farrington High School. After graduation he began his career in the mechanic field. Prior to him making the mechanic world a lifetime career he joined the United States Army where he served two years for his country.
He was married to Etta Y. Kiyota.
He loved the ocean where he could go fishing and diving. He enjoyed visiting and traveling to the eighth island which was Las Vegas.
He is survived by his son, Derek (Sheryl) Kiyota; daughters, Rona-Ann (Clifford) Yasuhara and Gwyneth (Dexter) Omori; brother, Walter (Adele) Kiyota; 10 grandchildren, Jessica (Matt) Fujimoto, Sheryse Kiyota, Javin Kiyota, Ryan (Lauryn) Yasuhara, Karissa Oi, Reece Omori, Cori Yasuhara, Remy Omori, Kari Oi and Rhianne Omori; three great-grandchildren, Bella Fujimoto, Everett Fujimoto and Jennifer Yasuhara.
