Herminigilda De Vera Dela Cruz's Obituary
Herminigilda De Vera Dela Cruz, 76, of Poblacion Sur, Mayantoc, Tarlac, Philippines and living (with daughter, Perlita and family) in Honolulu, Hawaii passed away at Maluhia Hospital in Honolulu, Hawaii on Thursday, August 23, 2018. She was born to Cristina (Miguel) and Eulogio M. De Vera in Poblacion Sur, Mayantoc, Tarlac, Philippines on April 13, 1942. She was a homemaker.
Herminigilda came to Hawaii to help her daughters out by watching and taking care of her young grandchildren. She would make sure that all the kids were fed and when her daughter came home from work, there would be dinner already made. Herminigilda’s family got their great cooking skills from their Mom; thus, her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren will definitely miss the delicious dishes she made.
Herminigilda is survived by her loving husband, Fernando Salamanca Dela Cruz; children, Teodoro (Ester) Dela Cruz, Marilyn (Raymund) Villanueva, Margarita ((Edwin) Naval, Cristina (Delrio) Domingo, Perlita (Silverio Jr.) Manganaan, Alona Dela Cruz, Evelyn Gutierrez, and Allan (Marijane) Dela Cruz; 16 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Celebration of life services for Herminigilda in Hawaii will be held on Friday, September 28, 2018 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Kalihi; visitation from 5:30 – 9:00 p.m., with wake service to follow at 6:30 p.m.
Her loving family will be accompanying, escorting and granting their beloved wife and Inang’s wishes to go back home to the Philippines and be buried there. She will be buried and laid to rest in Trinidad Memorial Park in Poblacion Sur, Mayantoc, Tarlac, Philippines.
