Howard Manthei, 75, of Kaneohe died at home on February 3, 2019. He was born in Koolaupoko, Hawaii. He is survived by wife Charlotte and hanai daughter Nadine "Kehau" Tatofi.
He attended Waihole and Castle High School. He worked for Delta Construction, Haitsuka Bros., Oahu and Highway Construction and Ben Hayashi.
He is pre-deceased by son Kimo; sister Fay Stapleton; brothers, Alfred "German",Robert "Lani" Manthei, Elmer "Dennis" Awa, Robert "Bobby" Hookano and Timothy Gonzalez. He is survived by brothers, Don Manthei, July (Kathleen) Hookano, Donnell (Diane) Flores, Michael Kim and Ronald (Dora) Gonzalez; sisters, Ella Townsend, Gloria Young, Leslie (Kurt) Cazinha, Lucia,Oveta and Vaudine Gonzalez and Petrona (Eddie) Harrell; Hanai Daughter, Nadine "Kehau" Tatofi; Many niece, nephews and cousins.
Visitation: 3 p.m., Service 4 p.m. on Tuesday, February 26, 2019 at Valley of the Temples. Aloha Attire.
