Ileen Ruth Wong's Obituary
Ileen Ruth Wong, 67, of Waimanalo, Hawaii passed away on Tuesday, October 20, 2015 at Castle Medical Center in Kailua. She was born on November 12, 1947 in Boscobel, Wisconsin to Vernon Rounds and Lois Foster.
She attended Boscobel High School and later moved to Hawaii where
she worked as a nuclear director with Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard where after serving 36 years she retired in 2007.
After retirement Ileen was involved with the Lions Club, Manawale‘a Riding Center, and volunteering wherever she was needed. She resided in Waimanalo and was married to Charles K. Wong Sr. on February 14, 1977 with the Justice of the Peace.
She was a member of Joyful Community, District 50, Koolaupoko Lions Club, Manawale‘a Riding Center. She was a loving, honest, helpful, busy and beautiful woman who enjoyed horse riding, traveling, volunteering, worship music, and serving the God.
She is survived by sons, Mark Updike, Jeffrey “Kale” Ronnette Wong, Ragen Wong, Charles “Chuck” Wong Jr.; daughters, Roni Aquino and Viola Wong; brother, Jim Rounds; sisters, Linda Peterson, June Muzzi, Joyce Roth, Jane Pink, and Mary Scanlan.
Visitation 9:30 – 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, November 12, 2015 at Hawaiian Memorial Park Mortuary Chapel; service to begin at 10:30 a.m. Burial to follow 1:00 p.m. at Hawaiian Memorial Park Cemetery.
