Ione Fay Adams' Obituary
IONE ADAMS Ione Adams, 72, of Kaneohe, died suddenly on September 1st, 2016. She is survived by her daughter Somerset Buchanan, her three grand- children, Derrek, Skyler and Sophie Buchanan of Walpole MA., her mother Nancy Coelho, her sister Elena Seu, and her half-sister Wanda Sonognini.
Born in Aiea, Hawaii, Ione attended Farrington High School and University of Hawaii during her scholastic years. Ione made quite a name for herself as she built her career at Liberty House as the esteemed Crest Room Buyer for over 30 years. The remainder of her professional career was spent with Neiman Marcus as the Fine Apparel Manager at the Ala Moana Center location. Over the past 20 years, Ione has been named "Mrs. Santa Claus" as her talent for Santa Claus doll creations became quite a collectors dream not only in Hawaii, but with clients around the world. The Celebration of Ione's life will be held at Atherton Chapel at Central Union Church on Sunday, November 6th with visitation from 4:30 PM to 5:00 PM. Services will begin at 5:00 PM. No flowers, please.
