Irene Midori Okawaki's Obituary
Irene Midori Okawaki, 88, of Honolulu passed away peacefully at home and was surrounded with love and comfort from her family on April 01, 2021.
She was born on August 19, 1932 to Kichio and Haruko Ebesutani in Honolulu.
Irene was a teacher at Kalihi Elementary and ended her long and dedicated career at Waimalu Elementary as a Principal.
She was a devoted, longtime member of Harris United Methodist Church, Honolulu.
Irene was preceded in death by her husband Patrick “Pat” Okawaki; sisters Adeline (George) Morita, Ruby Stephens; and brother Roy (Ellen) Ebesutani.
She is survived by daughters Janis and Jody (Mandy); grandchildren Brandee (Coley) Colwell and Brooke; sister Jessie (George) Ishikawa; brother Calvin Ebesutani.
