Irineo Guerrero Gumayagay Jr.'s Obituary
Irineo "Jhun" Guerrero Gumayagay, Jr., 39, of Honolulu, passed away January 23, 2017 at Kuakini Medical Center. Born in Bacarra, Ilocos Norte, Philippines to parents Irineo Acojido Gumayagay, Sr. and Edith Guerrero Gumayagay, Jhun was a former maintenance worker at the UH Manoa Campus, a former associate at Burger King Waikiki King's Village, and newspaper distributor for the Honolulu Advertiser.
He is survived by wife, Angela; stepson, Darren K. Arzaga-Baniaga; stepdaughter, Jensine K. Baniaga-Arzaga; parents, Irineo Acojido Gumayagay, Sr. and Edith Guerrero Gumayagay; siblings, Marietta, Aurelio, Angeline Leones, Francisco, Calixta Ganitano, Edeline; many nephews & nieces; fur babies, Alize, Dallas, Kingsley, Tacoma.
He was an big fan of the Dallas Cowboys, "I'm really cool braddah no ack up no crumbo stay Humbo life long Dallas Cowboys fan till I die"
Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 10, 2017, at Hawaiian Memorial Park Mortuary. Visitation will be from 6:00-9:00 p.m. with a wake service starting at 6:30 p.m.
Additional services will be held on Saturday, March 11, 2017, at St. John the Baptist Church (2324 Omilo Lane, Honolulu, HI 96819) with visitation from 9:00-10:00 a.m. Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. with burial to follow at Valley of the Temples Memorial Park. Casual attire is suggested.
