Isabelo Mauricio Mateo's Obituary
Isabelo “Belong” Mauricio Mateo, 85 years old, of Waipahu, Hawai’i, has passed away on July 9, 2017. He was born to Servando Bareng Mateo and Fausta (Mauricio) Mateo in Barangay 54B Camangaan, Laoag City, Philippines. He served as a Barangay Captain in Laoag City for more than 10 years. He retired as a Nursery Worker for Alluvion Inc. in Haleiwa, Hawai’i.
“Belong” is survived by his wife, Benedicta Melchor Mateo; children, Juliana Emilia Padilla, Elena (Fernando) Tadena, Rosebella (Benjamin) Madlangsakay, Mary Ann (Jerevic) Ramos, Karen & Elmer, and Mini & Jimmy; 19 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
He will be greatly missed and forever be in the hearts of the ones he loved the most, his family. Rest in peace in God’s loving embrace. We will remember you always, PAPANG!
Celebration of his life will be held at the Hawaiian Memorial Park Mortuary on Friday, August 4, 2017; visitation to begin at 5:30 p.m., with service to begin at 6:30 pm. Papang will fly back home to Laoag City on Sunday, August 6, 2017; he will be placed to rest at Maharlika Memorial Gardens in Laoag City, Philippines.
