Isamu Furuya's Obituary
Isamu Furuya, 93, of Kailua, Hawaii has passed away on Tuesday January 16, 2018 at Castle Medical Center in Kailua. He was born to Hisayo (Hasegawa) and Masaru Furuya in Honolulu, Hawaii on April 11, 1924. He retired as a lineman for Hawaiian Electric Company and a United States Army Veteran.
Isamu is survived by wife of 62 years, Harumi Furuya; sons, Keith (Sharla) Furuya, Nelson (Lisa) Furuya; daughter, Lori (Glenn) Matsumoto; brothers, Henry (Mae) Furuya, Charles Furuya; sisters, Katherine (Harry) Uyeda, Julia (Herbert) Niiya; sister in law, Edith Furuya; seven grandchildren; nieces and nephews; preceded in death by brother, Mamoru Furuya
Memorial service for Isamu will be on Tuesday March 6, 2018 at Hawaiian Memorial Park Mortuary. Visitation will be at 9:30 a.m. with services to begin at 10: 30 a.m. with an inurnment to follow at 1:00 p.m. at Hawaiian Memorial Park Cemetery.
