Hawaiian Memorial Park Mortuary and Diamond Head Mortuary are saddened to announce the passing of Jacob M Manegdeg. We are honored to be assisting the family during this difficult time.
Jacob Magarro Manegdeg, 94, was born on June 7, 1929 and peacefully passed away on January 8, 2024. He is survived by his children Christopher Manegdeg, Miki (Cory) Arume, and Monica Manegdeg; grandchildren Chelsie Arume, Isaiah Jackson, Courtney Arume, and Tyson Jackson. He is predeceased by his wife, Pacita Fernandez Manegdeg.
Jake was passionate about serving his community and dedicated his time working in State government, the Democratic Party of Hawaii, and in the Filipino community.
Services will be held on Monday, February 12, 2024 at St. Philomena Catholic Church. Visitation from 11:00 - 12:00 pm, services from 12:00 - 1:00 pm, reception to follow. Burial 3:00pm Valley of the Temples Memorial Park.
