Jacqueline Winona Calistro Ferreira's Obituary
Jacqueline Winona (Auntie Nona) Calistro Ferreira, 93 years old, passed away on 3 July 2018 in Mililani. She was born in Honolulu on 7 July 1924. She graduated from St. Patrick's School in 1938, and married John H. Ferreira, Sr. (St. Louis College grad) in 1942 at St. Patrick's Church. She was a devoted wife for 69 years. Her husband predeceased her in 2011. For many years, she devotedly cared for other families' young children, who knew her as “Auntie Nona”. She was always a very loving and caring mother of her two children John H. Ferreira, Jr. and Paulette Ferreira Souza (Douglass), her grandchildren Donna (Souza) Hoeft (Henry, Jr.), Debbie (Souza) Martens (Gerald), Steven Souza (Marjorie), and her great grandchildren Jennifer and Jonathan Hoeft. She is also survived by her brother Leonard Calistro, nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held in her memory on August 8, 2018 at Hawaiian Memorial Park Mortuary. Visitation: 930 am; Prayer Service: 1030 am; burial 1:00 pm at Hawaiian Memorial Park Cemetery. Aloha attire. Requests no flowers.
