James "Jimmy K." Kalani Kanehailua's Obituary
Celebrating the Life of James "Jimmy K." "Kalani" Kanehailua, 73, of Honolulu, Hawaii who passed away in Honolulu on July 11, 2014. He was born in Honolulu, Hawaii. He was a retired Hawaiian Studies Teacher-"Kupuna" for Iroquois Point Elementary School and a United States Army Veteran.
He is survived by sons, Matthew "Pono" Kanehailua and Anthony Kalei (Sheri) Fabrao; grandchildren, Nainoa Fabrao, JonRay Kapena Fabrao and Kanoa Miner-Fabrao; mother, Tillie Tomokiyo Kanehailua; brothers, Clement K. (Pat) Kanehailua, Jr. (of Califonia), John Pua (Ruth) Kanehailua, Sr. and Lawrence Kiha (Janice) Kanehailua; sisters, Bertha (Donald) Walls, Leilani (Clyde) Kaneko, Nona Kanehailua and Arlene Chiko Kanehailua-Ramones (Marlon Ramones); and former wife, Chandra Lee Kanehailua-Satele.
Visitation to his celebration of life will be held 8:30-10:00 a.m., Friday August 22, 2014 at Hawaiian Memorial Park Mortuary; service to begin at 10:00 a.m. with Committal Service to follow 11:00 a.m. at Hawaii State Veterans Cemetery. Aloha attire.
