I am James natural father. He was born James Julian Gschwind at Balboa Naval Hospital 3 Nov 1977. His first birthday party was a huge affair with a 85 lb pig. I had full custody following divorce as a Navy Recruiter in Kansas and took him to Washington DC and Pensacola, Florida. He was adopted by stepfather Robert Murdoch (also a Navy Chief) when Robert was being assigned on "command sponsorship" to Japan and I was on Sea Duty following another divorce in 1990. I allowed it because he asked me to be able to experience Japan older since he was too young when I was assigned there. I never saw him again after that and I stayed in touch until after Hurricane Ivan in 2005 when he called me while we were in the middle of the hurricane to check on me. That was also the last time I heard his voice. I tried calling and sent him birthday and Christmas money and cards but never heard from him again. I helped support his wife and son in Washington State. He has a wonderful son.
I don't think he really knew how much I loved him as a father. I love you son your suffering is over. Love Dad
