Janet S. Ginoza's Obituary
It is with great sadness to share the passing of Janet S. Ginoza. Hawaiian Memorial Park Mortuary is honored to be serving the Ginoza family.
Janet passed away peacefully at home with family members present on January 5, 2022, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born in Kahuku on November 4, 1939, and was raised in Kaneohe. She graduated from Castle High school with honors. Upon graduation she became a legal secretary working for many prominent attorneys. She also worked as a secretary for the federal government at Naval Investigative Service Office and at the State Legislature. She later joined the law firm of Carlsmith Ball LLP working for James Case. At Carlsmith Ball she was recognized as the “best secretary” and also became a notary public. She retired at age 55. Upon retirement she used her expertise and did volunteer work for 2 years at Shriners Children Hospital.
Janet enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking and watching cooking contests on TV. She was an excellent seamstress and enjoyed going to Las Vegas where she was a consistent winner. She also loved all animals especially cats which she diligently and dearly raised. She is now with them in heaven.
Janet is preceded in death by her two sisters, Ella and Esther and brother John. She is survived by husband Harry, daughter Debbie, son-in-law James, and grandchildren Sarah and Ethan Patrick.
Her service will be held on Friday March 11, 2022, at Valley of the Temples Trousdale Chapel. Visitation will be from 10:30am - 12:30pm. Service will begin at 11:30am. There will be Inurnment to follow at 1:00pm at Valley of the Temples Memorial Park.
