With heart felt sadness, we announce the passing of Jeanette S. Martin on Monday, May 12, 2014. She was the devoted loving wife of John Martin for 55 years. Jeanette is survived by her husband John, daughter Freida Wall (Gerry), sons Jack (Darlene), Jeffrey (Shanon), Jarett (Sharon) and Jason (Milly) and a sister Cathe Wong. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and one great – grandchild.
An accomplished baker, over the years, many of her creations graced a variety of weddings, birthdays, anniversaries and graduation parties.
Jeanette displayed an enormous passion for life, which was exceeded only by her love of family and friends.
Jeannette leaves behind a close and loving family and many lifelong friends who mourn her passing but will continue to celebrate her loving spirit. A memorial service will be held at Hawaiian Memorial Park on Thursday, June 19, 2014. Visitation will be from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm with the service beginning at 6:00 p.m. Aloha attire. Family asks that flowers be omitted.
Inurnment will be on Friday, June 20, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. Hawaii State Veterans Cemetery.
