Jerol Noel Hanson's Obituary
Jerol Noel Hanson passed away on November 2, 2022 cared by a loving foster family and hospice nurse at the age of 81 in Aiea, Hawaii. Jerol was born in Lincoln, Nebraska September 21, 1941 and at the age of 6 moved with his family to Honolulu, Hawaii. He grew up in a home on Makiki Heights which was close to all the Tantalus trails he loved to hike. He graduated from Punahou, Stanford with a BA and Columbia with an MBA. Other than his mainland school years and overseas travel time, Hawaii was his home. He was a commercial and residential real estate agent and broker of his own company, Hanson Realty. He enjoyed sailing with friends on his sailboats and with his private pilot’s license, flying inter island. He made several parachute jumps while in the Army and later continued skydiving with a local club. He was an active member of Calvary Lutheran Church and led a weekly AA meeting at Kawaihao Church. Jerol loved fishing, hiking, and canoeing while visiting family in Alaska and spending time with his friends in Hawaii. He will always be remembered for his zest for life and friendly smile. He is survived by his sister, Sylve Montalbo, nephews, Brian Montalbo, Todd Montalbo(Minta), Scott Montalbo(Caitlin) and great nephews Tobin and Max and great niece, Riley. There will be a private family gathering in Hawaii.
