Jerry Sakuju Azama's Obituary
Jerry Sakuju Azama, a lifetime resident of Kaneohe, Oahu passed away on Friday, June 3, 2016 at the Maunalani Nursing and Rehab Center in Honolulu. Born to Matsu Azama and Ushiya Arakaki in Kaneohe, Hawaii on March 6, 1925. He was an account representative with Gerber Baby Food and a United States Army Veteran.
He is survived by wife, Doris S. Azama; sons, Retired LTC Rodney S. (Susan) Azama, Retired LTC Wesley J. Azama and Kevin R. (Becky) Azama; daughters, Lori Y. (Wayne) Yamada and Gemey R. (Alan) Ogata; sisters, Hazel Nakama and Nancy S. Takata; Nine grandchildren, Stacie Saqui, Blayne Yamada, Kelsey (Angie) Yamada, Ryan Azama, Rachel Azama, Ava Azama, Irish Azama, Dawn (Jon) Tsue and Baron (Jaci)Yamada; four great-grandchildren, Khloie Saqui, Kynzie Saqui, Kameron Tsue and Kennadie Tsue. He is preceded in death by granddaughter, Stephanie Ogata.
Service for Jerry will be held on Tuesday, June 28, 2016 at Hawaiian Memorial Park Mortuary (located at, 45-425 Kamehameha Highway Kaneohe, Hawaii 96744); visitation from 10:30 – 11:00 a.m.; service to begin at 11:00 a.m. with Military Honors to be rendered; burial to follow 2:00 p.m. at the Hawaii State Veterans Cemetery Committal Shelter.
