Jesusa Moscoso Calma's Obituary
With heartfelt love and deep gratitude for her life, the family of Jesusa Moscoso Calma announces her peaceful passing on September 24, 2025, at the age of 91. Born on July 1, 1934 in Badoc, Ilocos Norte, Philippines, Jesusa lived a life of quiet strength, unwavering faith, and boundless love for her family.
Jesusa was a devoted mother and homemaker whose heart and hands shaped generations. She built her life on faith, hard work, and deep compassion. Her life was not measured by material things, but by the love she gave—one prayer, one meal, one embrace, one sacrifice at a time. She found joy in simple and beautiful things: gardening under the sun, praying with devotion, serving in church, and caring for those she loved. Her gentle kindness and generosity were a reflection of her faith and her belief in serving others with humility.
She will be lovingly remembered as faithful, strong, loving, and generous—a woman who faced life’s trials with grace and its blessings with gratitude. Her strength was quiet, her guidance steady, and her love unconditional.
Jesusa is survived by her children Catalino Magbual (Kimberly Magbual), Rosemarie Villanueva (Vill Villanueva), Janet Atchison (Ron Atchison), and Susan Calma (Jandy Viloria); her grandchildren Preston Villanueva, Sheena Villanueva (Greg Cornelissen), Blane Villanueva, Brianna Briere (Joe Briere), Taiyler Calma-Viloria (Alex Verdier), Xaiyne Calma-Viloria, Xaiyveyus Calma-Viloria, Xaiydrien Calma-Viloria, Xaiylyn Calma-Viloria, and Xaiyven Calma-Viloria; and her brother Guillermo Moscoso. She was preceded in death by Eduardo Magbual and Bernardo Calma. She leaves behind a legacy of faith, love, and family that will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
A funeral service will be held in her honor on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, at 5:00 PM at Valley of the Temples Main Chapel. A second day service will be held on Wednesday, November 5, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Valley of the Temples Main Chapel. Burial will follow at 2:00 PM at Valley of the Temples Memorial Park.
