Joan Takako Silva's Obituary
Joan Silva, a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, and lifelong caregiver, passed away peacefully on July 4, 2026 surrounded by her loving family. Born in Honolulu, Hawaii, Joan lived with warmth and dedication to her family and community. She Shared 52 loving years of marriage with her husband, Lloyd Silva.
Joan touched many lives through her work and friendships. She was a Beautician for over 40 years, an aerobics instructor for 25 years and worked as a Kitchen Manager as well as a Health aide for 20+ years.
She enjoyed playing tennis, cards and creating crafts but her greatest joy was spending time with loved ones and watching her grandchildren grow.
Joan is survived by her husband, Lloyd; Her children, Lenny, Lenson and Dionne; her 9 Grandchildren: Nainoa, Spencer, Amber, Brooke, Mekayla, Noah, Satoshi, Kawai and Sophia; and her 2 great grandchildren: Journey and Haze. She will be deeply missed by her extended Family and many dear friends.
A Celebration of Joan’s life will be held on August 7th, at 4pm, at Valley of the Temples.
