Joel Kalaeloa Kekahuna Sr.'s Obituary
Joel Kalaeloa Kekahuna Sr., 72 of Ewa Beach, passed away peacefully on August 21, 2024, in Ewa Beach. He was born on January 19, 1952 in Honolulu to the late William and Hannah Kekahuna. Joel was a retired bus operator with the Oahu Transit System where he worked for 37 years. He loved football and baseball and was a big Kansas City Chiefs Fan. He is pre deceased by his son Justin Kekahuna and survived by his wife of 52 years, Elaine Ka'eleu Kekahuna; children, Joel Kalaeloa (Jay Girl) Kekahuna Jr., Rainbow K. (Alika) Bagood; grandchildren, Honey, Joey, Jacob, Josiah, Joshua, Kamalamalama; great grandchildren, Jaelyn and Anaiah; and siblings, Danny and Sweetie Kekahuna.
Services will be held on Wednesday, October 30, 2024 from 5-8pm at Valley of the Temples Mortuary Makai Chapel and then continues the next day on Thursday, October 31, 2024 from 9am-12pm. Burial to follow at 12pm.
