June 17, 1944 - June 20, 2020
He was a well known Member of the Honolulu Fire Department.
He was appointed to the Honolulu Fire Department (HFD) on April 1, 1969, and served 22 years 2 months. His last assignment was with Engine 38, 1st Platoon.
He is survived by his son, John Hunter Hughes Jr.,his step son, Charles Kaalekahi jr., daughter Suzette Danielle Hughes, Granddaughter Chasity Danielle Kaya Hughes and Great-grandson Zayden Aledo.
