John Glosser Jenss' Obituary
John G. Jenss, age 78, of Kaneohe, Hawaii, passed away on Septer 13, 2018.
Beloved husband of Mary (nee Holokahiki Cypher) (Deceased); loving father of sons, Ian and John and daughter-in-law Yi (nee Cai); cherished grandfather of Jondee (Kuali) and Austin; Dear brother of Edward and sister-in-law Glenda (nee Jaynes); John was born in Cleveland, Ohio. His parents were John Harold Jenss, and Audrey Heffner (nee Glosser). He was the 1st of 2 children.
John graduated from Charles F. Brush High School in 1959.
Following a few years as a civilian John was drafted by the U.S. Army and serviced between 1962 and 1964 in Asia and on the mainland.
Shortly thereafter, he began his 50 year career in the restaurant industry in Waikiki. In addition to being an avid softball player & an ardent sports fan, his avocation was prospecting and mining for gold in Northern California.
Service will be held Wednesday October 3 at 10:00 am on the First Presbyterian Church of Honolulu, (Ko'olau Ballrooms) 45-550 Kionale Rd. Kaneohe. Graveside service Oct 19 at 2:00 pm, Hawaiian Memorial Park Cemetery, Kaneohe, Oahu, Hawaii.
