John "Lui" "Pahtnah" Louis Hookano's Obituary
John Louis Hookano, 81, of Kaneohe Hawaii, known best to his family and friends as "Lui" or "Pahtnah" has passed away on Wednesday June 14, 2017 at Castle Medical Center. He was born to Henrietta (Watson) and Benjamin Lui Hookano in Honolulu Hawaii on March 13, 1936. He Retired as a Heavy Equipment Operator.
John is survived by his wife, JoAnne Hookano; sons, Ross (Daphne) Hookano, Kalani Hookano, Scott (Holly) Hookano and Hanalei (Bernie) Hookano; daughters, Cheryl Hamada, Amy Jean (John) Alvarez, Kehau (Noah) Waiwaiole and Bebe Hookano; sisters, Henrietta (Quincy) Choy Foo, Naomi Lapinad and Queenie Kobashigawa; twenty eight grandchildren; thirty four great grandchildren and five great- great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for John will be on Saturday July 29, 2017 at Hawaiian Memorial Park Mortuary. Visitation will be at 9:00 a.m. with service to begin at 10:30 a.m. There will be a burial to follow at 1:00 p.m. at Valley of the Temples Memorial Park.
