John Guleng Luis' Obituary
John Guleng Luis, 58, a resident of Honolulu, Hawaii passed away on June 29, 2016 at the San Pedro Hospital in St. Barangay, Philippines. He was the fifth of eight children born to William Luis and Consolacion Guleng on March 20, 1958 in Cotabato, Philippines.
He was employed with Jayar Construction for 20 years and retired as a laborer in 2013.
He was married to Marybel Calatrava on November 18, 1984.
John enjoyed fixing cars.
He is survived by his wife, Marybel Luis; sons, Erick Kristoffer Luis, Phillip John Luis and Raphael Luis; brothers, Robert Luis and Washington Luis; sisters, Norma Canja, Virginia Jaquias, Estrella Calamayan and Augusta Yoro and three grandchildren.
Service for John will be held on Tuesday, August 2, 2016 at Hawaiian Memorial Park Mortuary; visitation: 5:30 – 9:00 p.m.; wake service to begin at 6:30 p.m.
Additional service will be held on Wednesday, August 3, 2016 at Valley of the Temples Chapel; visitation: 9:30 – 10:30 a.m.; service to begin at 10:30 a.m., with burial to follow 1:00 p.m. at Valley of the Temples Memorial Park.
