John Joseph Regan's Obituary
REGAN, John J. 79, of Kaneohe, Hi passed away on December 4, 2018. A native of Philadelphia, Pa. Mr. Regan was the son of the late John P. and Katharine A.(Kiernan) Regan. He is survived by his wife of 50 years Be (Nguyen), his children Jennifer Neal (Spouse Andrew) of Weinstrasse, Germany and Michael (Spose Suki), and his two granddaughters Naomi Neal and Sarah Neal, his sister Catherine P. Lennon and brother Owen J. After serving in the U.S. Army (1957-1959) he worked for Univac/Unisys for 41 years. John was a graduate of Chaminade University in 1972 and a Master of Education from the University of Oklahoma in 1996. John was always an active member of his community. A “Dear Father” for his son’s Cub Scout Troop and with the Civil Air Patrol as an officer for many years. In 1987 he was transferred to Heidelberg, Germany for Unisys. While there he became active in the VFW serving in many positions. After his return to Hawaii in 2002 he continued to volunteer with the VFW as well as the Coast Guard Auxillary for many years.
