I have so many wonderful memories of Jonas. I first met him 16 years ago while working as a wedding planning assistant, and he was the kindest chef I had ever encountered. He went out of his way to make sure every member of the event staff was fed, and I still remember him striking up a conversation with me that day.
He made a lasting impression on me, and when I started my planning business a year later, I continued working with him. It didn’t take long for him to become my go-to chef not only because his food was incredible, but because he genuinely cared about my clients and took such thoughtful care of everyone on the team.
I miss catching up with him in the prep tent after dinner service and hearing his boisterous laugh. Jonas, you are deeply missed, my friend.
