We were baggers at the Pearl Harbor Commissary way back in the 90s. He asked me to join the Air Force with him back home in Hawaii but I wasn't ready yet. He was smarter than I was. I eventually joined the AF a few years later and kept in touch. I'll never forget all the memories we had getting lunch together at work, goofing off at work to kill time, breakdancing at our houses, and just hanging out drawing, planning out our next graffiti piece. Miss you man.
I was proud to serve with TSgt Esta as part of the legendary CE Red Devils at Kunsan AB, Korea. Extremely hard working, proficient craftsman with such a kind, positive demeanor. He served our nation with honor and made a difference for so many Airmen he served alongside. Sending our prayers and heartfelt condolences to his family.
I first met Jon while stationed in Ramstein, Germany. He was a great friend and he will be missed. My prayers are with his family.
He was my first friend in the Air Force. We were both new to the Air Force. In 2000 stationed at Mountain Home AFB, we used to play pool every night and hang out. He was like my brother. After many years, we found each other on facebook again and we were so excited. We didn't get to see each other again. I will never forget you my wonderful friend & brother. Rest in peace, I still cannot believe you’re gone
