Jose Rivera Barut's Obituary
Born on December 23rd, 1921, in Bacarra Ilocos Norte, Philippines, Jose Rivera Barut lived life with joy, hard work, and resilience. On May 25th, 2025, Jose passed away in Honolulu, leaving behind a legacy that will continue to inspire those who knew him. Jose was a proud World World 2 Veteran, under the US Army as a guerrilla fighter.
Jose's hardworking nature was evident in his dedication to his profession. He began working as a wood treating laborer. His passion for dancing filled his home with joy, and was a source of delight for his family. A beloved husband, father, and grandfather, Jose is survived by his loving wife, Maxima Barut, and his cherished daughters: Nimfa Barut Lewis, Antonet Cabel Barut, and Lisa May Barut Youn; his granddaughter, Lyric Youn; and his sister Valentina Rivera. As we celebrate Jose's remarkable life, we remember the joy he brought to every moment.
