Jose Percy Gamboa Aboy, 88, of Honolulu, Hawaii, passed away on July 11, 2015. He was born in Silay City, Negros Occidental, Philippines on November 11, 1926 to Ciriaco Aboy and Rosalia Gamboa. He was a security guard for a sugar mill in the Philippines.
He is survived by wife, Patria Alimo-ot Aboy; sons, Joevanie (Ma. Theresa C.) Aboy Sr., Josue (Felialim) Aboy, Joemarie (Karen) Aboy, Jorge (Jovelyn S.) Aboy, and Jose Percy (Ailee B.) Aboy Jr.; daughters, Medeline A. (Ricardo) Caratay, Helen A. (Roberto) Limos, Catherine A. (Victoriano) Nano, Haydee Aboy (Fernando Doctor) , Ma. Leah A. (Jeffrey) Bennette, Precilla A. (Arnold) Clarion; 26 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; sisters, Remedios Mindanao and Lily Jallan.
Visitation: 5:30 – 9:00 p.m., Saturday, August 1, 2015 at Hawaiian Memorial Park Mortuary; service to begin at 6:30 p.m. Burial at a later date at Lasting Peace Memorial Park in Silay City, Negros Occidental, Philippines.
