Jose Villanueva Sacoco's Obituary
Jose Villanueva Sacoco, age 65, passed away peacefully at his home in Ewa Beach, O’ahu on February 28, 2019. He was born on December 15, 1953 in San Nicolas, Ilocos Norte, Philippines.
Known as "Kosi" by family and friends, he is survived by his wife Lina Sacoco, daughter Rosemarie Sacoco, 6 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren.
In his spare time, Kosi cherished family time, playing the guitar, cooking, and taking care of his pets. Kosi treasured spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Kosi was a foodie and really enjoyed cooking. Paired with Heineken, savory foods he enjoyed were oysters, ahi poke, steak, and shrimp. Some of the tasty cuisines Kosi served up included: goat, catfish, pig feet soup, beef stew, beef broccoli with shrimp and mushrooms, oxtail soup, and chicken papaya soup. Kosi deeply loved animals and was fond of tending the roosters in his backyard.
Kosi retired from Tileco, Inc. in 2018, after working for the company for over 18 years. The viewing will be held at the Valley of the Temples Makai Chapel on Thursday, April 11, 2019 from 5:30pm – 8pm. Funeral services will be on Friday, April 12, 2019 at the Co-Cathedral of St. Theresa, with the public viewing taking place at 10am, Mass at 11am, and burial to follow at Valley of the Temples at 1pm.
