Celebrating the Life of Joseph “Sonny” Frank Kaaina Keohokapu, Jr., 88, of Waimanalo, Hawaii who passed away on June 29, 2014 . He was a retired truck driver for the United States Navy with Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard and also a United States Army Veteran and United States Army National Guard Veteran. He was born in Kaauhuhu, North Kohala, Hawai’i.
He is survived by sons, Joseph K. (Yolanda) Gomes, Purdy P. U. Keohokapu and Glenn J. K. (Luanne) Keohokapu; daughters, Jonella (Francis) Peters, Madonna Keohokapu-Meria and Vannessa L. K. (Antonio) Dela Cruz; sister, Lillian Farm, Doreen Makuakane, Adeline “Lehua” Mandac, Judy (Barry) Koffman; brothers, Delanor Keohokapu, Purdy (Barbara) Keohokapu and Robert “Robby Boy” Rivera-Keohokapu; 24 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
Visitation to his celebration of life service will be held 10:00 a.m. - 1:30 p.m., Sunday, July 20, 2014 at Hawaiian Memorial Park Mortuary with service to begin at 11:00 a.m. Committal service will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, July 21, 2014 at Hawaii State Veterans Cemetery.
