Joseph Hinano Poouahi III's Obituary
Joseph Hinano Poouahi III, beloved husband, father and grandfather, passed away June 21, 2018 in Kapolei. He was born in Makawao, Maui on March 21, 1952 to parents Joseph Kekahuna Poouahi, Jr. and Violet Kuailani Poouahi and was a truck driver for Bright Construction and retired as a bus driver for The Bus. He was also a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps.
Joe is survived by his wife, Lana Kakalia Poouahi; children, Joseph K. (Rebecca) Poouahi IV, Jessica U. (James, Jr.) Hale and Jantell Poouahi; eight grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 31, 2018, at Hawaiian Memorial Park Mortuary. Visitation will be from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Services officiated by Barbara Jean Pomai Kauolulo will begin at 10:30 a.m. with a reception to follow. Committal services and burial will be at 1:00 p.m. at Hawaii State Veterans Cemetery.
