Josephine "Pina" Balanay Faustino, beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully at the age of 82 on October 28, 2024, in Honolulu, Hawaii. Born on September 1, 1942, in Kahuku, Hawaii, Josephine lived a life full of love, joy, and dedication to her family and community.
Josephine had a passion for hula dancing, a tradition she cherished and shared with many. She was also known for her incredible Filipino cooking, bringing people together with her delicious meals. In her leisure time, she enjoyed watching Korean dramas, a pastime that brought her much happiness. Her favorite color was pink, a reflection of her vibrant and warm personality.
A service to celebrate Josephine’s life will be held on December 6, 2024, at the Makai Chapel in Valley of the Temples. Visitation will begin at 11:00 AM, followed by a service at 1:00 PM with the burial to follow at 2:00 PM at Valley of the Temples.
Josephine’s family invites all who knew her to join in honoring her memory and celebrating the beautiful life she lived. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered
