Joyce was the sweetest, kindest person I knew. She and I worked together at Castle & Cooke and retained our friendship after I left the employ. She always kept in touch and shared photos of her grandson who was precious to her. Richard and she produced four lovely children and I think her family was everything to her. She was a devoted to her employer but even more devoted to her family. I loved keeping in touch with her and seeing her occasionally. She loved Starbucks coffee. She was positive and upbeat and I don't remember her ever saying an unkind word or gossiping about anyone. She may so many people feel good about themselves and assisted wherever she could. I remember her devotion to helping her sisters and brother with her mother as she aged. She was indeed one of a kind and I miss her dreadfully. My best wishes to Richard and the children. There will always be a hole in your heart but hopefully time will ease the pain of losing her so suddenly and so young. I have such fond and wonderful memories of her.
The world is a darker place without Joyce in it. I worked with her at Castle & Cooke for 11 years. She was one of the sweetest, most thoughtful, kindest, and loving people I have ever met. I will miss you, Joyce. Heaven has gained another angel.
Aloha,
