Joyce Lana Talaeai's Obituary
Joyce Lana Talaeai, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister, passed away July 18, 2017 at Castle Medical Center. She was 73. Born in Honolulu to parents John Sifoa Loa and Nancy K. Hanawahine Loa, Joyce was a retired housekeeper for the Ala Moana Hotel. She was predeceased by brothers Larry Loa and Kearney Loa and sister Sheila Bailey.
Joyce is survived by her husband, Suati Talaeai; sons, Daniel (Tabitha) Talaeai and Mark (Suzette) Talaeai; daughters, Tanya (Nathan) Souza and Lisa L. Talaeai; 16 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; brothers Gary (Georgette) Loa and John Loa, Jr.; sisters, Patricia Brooks, Olga Loa, Lorraine (Michael) Chung, Geraldine Loa, Julia Loa and Charlotte Loa.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 8, 2017, at Hawaiian Memorial Park Mortuary. Visitation will be from 9:30-11:00 a.m. Services by Lanakila Church under the direction of Kahu Derrick Kalei, will begin at 11:00 a.m. Graveside service and burial will be at 2:00 p.m. at Valley of the Temples Memorial Park.
