Juana Dela Cruz Sarmiento's Obituary
Juana Dela Cruz Sarmiento, 88, of Kaneohe, Hawaii passed away on Tuesday, May 17, 2016. Born to Victor Dela Cruz and Toribia Castro in Barangay Banggay, Dingras, Ilocos Norte, Philippines on February 11, 1928. She was a retired Outrigger Waikiki Hotel housekeeper.
She is survived by sons, Rosito (Martina) Sarmiento, Jose (Rose) Sarmiento, Remegio (Florenda) Sarmiento and Paul (Wilma) Sarmiento; daughter-in-law, Hilda Sarmiento; 16 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; brothers, Segundo Dela Cruz and Rodolfo Dela Cruz; and sister, Caridad “Caring” Dela Cruz;
She is preceded in death by husband, Jaime Carino Sarmiento; daughter, Patricia Sarmiento Andaya; son, Amador Sarmiento; and son-in-law, Victor Andaya.
Celebration of Life services for Nana Juana will be held at Hawaiian Memorial Park Mortuary (located at 45-425 Kamehameha Highway Kaneohe, Hawaii 96744); visitation will be from 5:30 – 9:00 p.m., with service to begin at 6:30 p.m.
Burial will be at a later date in Dingras, Ilocos Norte, Philippines.
