Julia Lucas Ustare's Obituary
On Friday, February 21, 2020, Julia Lucas Ustare passed away peacefully at age 82 surrounded by her family.
A retired employee of Wai’alae Country Club, Julia was born in Laoag City, Philippines on Dec 20, 1937. She married Manuel Ustare in 1964, and together, they raised three sons. Manuel predeceased Julia in 1985.
Julia is survived by her sons Joel (Nancy), Samuel (Dynah) and Emmanuel Ustare, and grandchild Megan Ustare.
Surviving siblings are Milagrina Lucas Mariano (Simeon) and Andrea Lucas Cabel (Horencio) of Laoag City Philippines, as well as Virgilio Lucas (Edith) and Domingo Lucas (Cora) of Honolulu. Numerous nephews and nieces make up the rest of survivors.
Julia’s parents were Inocencio and Cleta Lucas. The siblings who predeceased her are Emilio (Florentina), Gabriella Coloma (Gervacio), and Mario (Natividad).
Julia's Celebration of life services have been postponed and rescheduled to July 11, 2020 (Saturday) at the Valley of the Temples Main Chapel; visitation to the Ustare family from 9:30-10:30 A.M., with a Prayer service to follow at 10:30 A.M. Julia's graveside burial service has been changed to be "private."
